Friday -
Gah if I can remember this shit correctly... Hugo and I MEANT to get to the hotel BEFORE Avelia/Jean so we could book the rooms. Unfortunately, the subway decided to strand me at Don Mills for half an hour and Jean got there waaaay before we did. We had all our registration, masq, and rooms set up right on Friday!!

We got lost looking for the Holiday Inn's elevator located in the north-most corner of the fucking floor, hidden to the left of some contstruction area behind a convenience store (wtf?). As usual, PA and OFF got adjacent rooms. Once inside, I decided we needed to take some before pictures of the hotel *evil cackle*

Everyone slowly arrives and the OFF girls head to the TCC' Dealers Room to visit Mike @ Anime IKU. We autographed a few copies of the magazine and left a few of our biz cards at the booth. I was mooning over Susan's pic on the cover so the girls kind of had to "drag" me away.

We walked around for some exposure and LO AND BEHOLD! We stumble upon the sexiest AN judge ever! Naturally, we needed pics with our "celebrity".



More PA members arrive and we finally get a big enough group that we had to pose outside. On the way out, one of the con "usher chicks" screaming at us "GIRLS! MOVE!" ... She was kinda dorky so I blasted her with a sarcastic "OOOOKKAAAY!!!" and rolled my eyes. At summer camp, we teach the youngins to say "please". Once outside, we photoshooted until sun down. Leo and Oliva finally arrive and we all watch them change in the parking lot wooo~~



The Original Six gathered for a few pics. (Coles, Cha, Wendy, Aaron, Krystal and me) We used to play together on RO as a guild. GO GO VOLTS!!

We headed to dinner at Milestones and needless to say a few of us for pretty drunk. Germ was smashed and so was I. I vaguely remember taking sips of EVERYONE'S drink (hello AIDS) and pretending my sugar was crack. Haha. At one point, I actually sipped up all the sugar from the table... I remember laying on the street because I saw it in The Notebook and OFF Girl's frantic screams soon after I did that. *another evil cackle*

Late that night, the OFF girls practiced our masq skit (quite unsoberly) and we landed into bed around 3am. I DISTINCTLY remembered Hugo, Jean and me sleeping on one bed (in that order left to right)...

Saturday -
Someone's alarm went off and I moaned and rolled over. My leg brushed up against another soft leg and I instinctually tried to spoon and snuggle with Jean. Good thing I opened my eyes! HOLY FACK IT'S HUGO! WTF?!?!?

XD Apparently she got too much of my body heat last night and "rolled over him". Uhuh.

OFF decided to wear RO in the morning. We all went outside the TCC again for some good photoshoots in the sunlight. Around 2, OFF changed into our Lolita costumes and that got more attention than I had expected. While we went to visit Mike @ Anime IKU again, it took us about half an hour to get there since we were stopped for pictures every 30 seconds!



After checking in with Mike (and realizing most of our biz cards were gone, especially that ones that were autographed) we split up for a while and enjoyed the con. I stopped by a few friends in Artist Alley and Dealers Room from high school. I chatted with Kinnee for a while, she was real busy as usual ^^. I stopped at Maiji's AA table and swooned over her RO art. Haha, I could finally identify the classes now that I've played the game. And finally at Sherry's AA table who wanted a copy of the magazine.

The OFF girls met up again and it was time to rush to the Double Tree for masquarade!! On the way there, we were stopped a zillion times again for pictures. We got half way and realized that if we didn't shake our big poofy asses, we were going to be late. Three guys saw us walking by and their dialogue was this XD:
Guy 1: Holy shit guy, take a pic!!
Guy 2: *rustling for camera*
Guy 3: Man, hurry up!
*OFF Girls posing for them*
Guy 2: *fiddling with camera* It's not working!!!
OFF Girls: We really have to go guys >_< We're really sorry.
Guy 2: It's broken!!!
Guy 1: I oughta knock you upside the head! It's not everyday you have four beautiful women waiting for you to take their picture! Useless!



Nothing extraordinary came from the masq except they had an emergency lock-down because a "child" was missing. The way the staff came in and told us to all sit down and be quiet, I thought there was a gunman on the loose or something. Turns out it was a 14 year old girl who had sneaked off with her boyfriend... Oookaaay. The masq was delayed about an hour.

OFF Girls held a private photoshoot session outside the green room after masq had ended. We quickly went back to the hotel and got ready for the dance. Apparently they were holding some sort of ball thing at the same time as the JPop dance but it cost $10 to go in. Um, no thanks. I'll keep my prom @ prom. I heard they played Yatta... wtf? At a ball?

Anyway, I had forgotten where I put my pass a few times and I finally figured out where it was...



Sure the Jpop dance stank of BO but then as we were leaving and passed the Moonlit Ball dance room ... I'm it's smelled like puke, sweat, piss and cheese. *gag* Pay to go in there? Nooooo thanks.

I visited the PA hotel room that night and got a little drunk again. I really didn't intend to drink, except I hadn't eaten all day and Coles kept telling me to "try this". Needless to say, I didn't return to my room until morning.

Sunday -
We all rushed to get our stuff to check out of the hotel and DING DING DING, we took after pictures. Brace yourselves...



As we were leaving, the housemaids went into the PA room and I heard them yell "OH MY GOD! This isn't right. This isn't right... [x4]" Oops. Well I guess you kind of have to expect it if you are working as "housekeeping" for a hotel. You kind of have to work at work.

We reached the Double Tree and we picked up our ribbons and our trophy. Yay trophy! We earned it as a GROUP!!



Sunday was a calm down day. We participated in the Fashion Show but left before they announced the winners. It's not a big deal if we aren't there for the recognition, we know we had fun and that's what matters the most.

So after one last look around, we went back to the Double Tree for some final Lolita photoshoots. Many people had to leave early at this con so the rest of us just relaxed until even after the con ended. So far, this was my favourite con!! It just gets better every year!!

David's grandmother passed away and they were very close as was I and many others. The past week has been non-stop tears for David and so I tried to be the best support I could be. When David went up and read the eulogy, it was so touching and genuine that he himself had stopped to sob. Emily, his younger sister read a beautiful poem and when she cried everyone did.

She had cancer, and diabetes so when the heartattack and stroke hit her, her body felt like it was time to end the pain and suffering and she passed during the reading of her Last Rights. We had got there a few minutes to late and as we walked into the room, David put his hand over his mouth and rushed to her bedside in tears.

But where David loses a life close to his heart, he had saved another. We had gone down for some food at the Hospital Country Style and went outside for some fresh air. An old woman in a wheelchair was off in the grass with a watch dog. The dog began barking and two nurses ran out moments later. One of the nurses yelled out "She has a weak pulse, get help!"

The other nurse started to run (but not fast enough). David darted into the hospital and grabbed a Cardiologist and a Nuerologist nearby and they ran out. As we headed in, we heard the hospital call "CODE BLUE CODE BLUE" (meaning her heart had stopped). Minutes later, David joined us and said that they had saved her.

But if David hadn't gotten the help as quick as he did, that woman may have died as well.

I am so proud of him for being so strong.

More sad news however, some friends and family had decided to adopt the dog, and Isis but Marley will have to go back to the Humane Society. Not because no one wants him, because our houses are already too full. I will miss Marley so much because he was such a playful kitten, but I am sure with that personality, he will find a good home. I will also miss the lively and youthful attributes of David's Grandmother and I know that she meant a lot to him. Rest in Peace, Doreen.

I wasn't sure how to blog about this, but about a week ago, I was diagnosed with [Tuberculosis]. What is TB? It's a disease caused by bacteria that usually attacks the lungs. It makes you cough up blood and can be fatal. I learned this at a routine employment check up. I'm not contagious, and as far as I know, my immune system has been keeping it in check. I seriously don't know how long I've had it.

I did a little research and discovered that the swollen lymphnodes I've had since I was a child is a strand of Tuberculosis. That's explains why I was pretty sickly as a kid.

Lately I've been watching sad movies and music videos. I've been much more in tune with romantic notions of sick women (like Moulin Rouge). I hate to sound morbid but a part of me wants to be on my deathbed (probably the drama queen in me saying this). It's an attractive thought to me because then people around me would care for me more and I wouldn't have much to think about.

To those of you who have the time, take a look at this Chinese music video. You don't need to know the language to understand it. I'm quite convinced the girl as TB. I guarantee a cry, if not, it will choke you up a bit. [Watch it here]

On top of things, it is quite possible that Dave and I have broken up since the last tantrum he threw as a result of my "attitude" may be unforgivable. He knows I have TB but he's sure it's nothing but it's probably why I want to be sick. He's taken all his stuff, including the heater he gave me. I'm so cold.

CATS:
I came home today from Dave's and my next door neighbor is standing outside with the Cat From Across teh Street. It's name is Max. It's like 8pm, freezing outside and this cat is OUTDOORS. I mean for fucks sake, I don't like the idea of having an outdoor cat, but there is a difference between fresh air and neglect. Yes, let your cat outside in the summer, or during the day in the winter, but not 24/7. It might as well be a stray then! I gave the poor thing some of Pico's indoor cat food, but that's all I could do for it.

Keep your cat indoors at night from the winter cold, you selfish shithead.


CARS:

Last night on my way to Dave's house, making a right hand turn, I decided I was going too fast and wanted to keep driving to prevent crashing. I started to change lanes and realized that car was sliding and heading into the fast lane and soon, into oncoming traffic. I turned the wheel a slight right to get back into the lane and the wheels hit black ice.

My car spun out almost 180 degrees and I saw the huge snow bank heading towards me pretty quick.

I had no flashbacks, no thoughts of loved ones. Only, what would happen in the aftermath. I foresaw glass smashing in and the door caving, my crumpled body against the wheel, no airbags, a mess.

I screamed and it echoed. I hit.

I came too a few seconds later, shaken and took me a while to realize where I was and what had happened. I began to cry from shock. I called David right away and he said he would be there in a few minutes.

I put my cell away and looked up. A car slowly approached with his emergency lights on. I crawlled out the passenger side because the driver's side was up against snow. "Holy fuck." I got out and took a look at the driver's side. Crushed.

Glass was still in place, not like I had "foreseen", just a big dent. The back wheels were off the ground. The owner of the house drove up and a crowd started to gather to ask me what had happened. David and his friend Jeff got there seconds later. The cops arrived since the station was right across the street.

The men put a wooden board between my front bumper and Jeff's 4-wheel drive and pushed my car onto the street.

I went back to Dave's cold and terrified. If I was going any faster, the door would've come in and I would've landed myself in hospital. Get winter tires!!!
